One Archives LGBTQ History Panel Displays

The City of West Hollywood through One City One Pride has sponsored two outdoor exhibitions of LGBTQ History Panels from ONE Archives. Gardena Valley Japanese Cultural Institute annual Matsuri is a two day event of carnival games, cultural performances like Hula and Taiko, and delicious Japanese food cooked fresh to order. Saturday – 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

This is one of the largest Buddhist gatherings in the City of Los Angeles. In 2017, we celebrate the 94th Obon Festival. Attendees can participate in the tradition of Japanese Obon Odori dancing and enjoy other cultural and ethnic experiences such as taiko drum performances, Japanese calligraphy and doll exhibits, and a variety of tasty ethnic foods.

37th Annual Lotus Festival

The Lotus Festival in Los Angeles celebrates Asian Pacific cultures with two days of attractions and entertainment in scenic Echo Lake Park. The festivities take place in July when the eponymous flower is in bloom, and the weekend kick offs with an opening ceremony, continuing with live music, a film screening, cultural performances and more.
