Jose Dávila: Sense of Place

A six ton concrete sculpture will be on view to the public in West Hollywood Park from sunrise to sunset through November 2017 before disassembling into 40 individual sculpture pieces and then migrating throughout the city to be reinstalled in approximately 20 different public sites. Fiesta Hermosa

For the past forty years, the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce has produced Fiesta Hermosa, the largest arts and crafts fair in Southern California. Over 270 artists and crafters are featured, including painters, photographers, ceramicists, jewelers, sculptors, and handcrafters. With the ocean as a backdrop, the festival takes place every Memorial Day and Labor Day weekend in downtown Hermosa Beach from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

29th Annual Memorial Day Parade in Canoga

The 29th Annual Canoga Park Memorial Day Parade is a wonderful tradition that allows our community to come together to honor our fallen and the families of those gave that gave their lives to insure our freedom. The theme every year is “Saluting the Price of Freedom.” The event will include marching bands, equestrians, floats, and many military displays.

Festival of the Chariots

Three colorful forty-foot chariots, handmade in the ancient Indian tradition, are hand pulled by huge ropes down Main St. in Santa Monica, accompanied by musicians, singers, and dancers. The parade ends at the festival site at Ocean Front Park in Venice. At the site, huge tents house exhibits, food stands, and two stages. Taiwanese American Heritage Week: Los Angeles River Clean Up
