Grant Recipient Instructions:
Here are some suggestions and information that may make the writable Forms easier to use. We hope the following is helpful:

1. Important: Prepare all of your answers before you begin typing a form. What you type cannot be saved on your hard drive, so you must print the form as soon as it is complete.

2. Print this page to reference while you work.

3. Each time you log on, a blank form will be downloaded to you.

4. When inputting your data, select the hand tool from the Acrobat toolbar. Position the hand pointer inside a Form field and click. The I-beam pointer allows you to type text. The arrow pointer allows you to select a field, such as a check box. Tab or click on the next field area to be answered, to move around the writable fields.

5. To improve readability--especially those forms with check boxes--you may wish to increase the size of your screen to 150%, using the Zoom In tool from Acrobat toolbar.

6. If the writable form is displayed within your web browser window, use the printer button on the Acrobat toolbar menu--instead of your web browser's print function--to print the Forms.

7. Print out each page as you complete it. Printing as soon as you complete a page assures you can print your results to submit. Before you print, put your cursor in an area of the Form that is not inside a writable field. If a writable field is active (apparent by a blinking bar), the content will not print.

8. Close other programs and documents in your computer when working on the Forms. Although the City has a strong real-time server, if you try to browse very quickly, pages will disappear. Some problems may be related to your computer's memory.

9. If you lose connection to the server, your answers will disappear.

10. We regret that the Cultural Affairs Department cannot provide technical support for those using this site. The Cultural Affairs Department bears no responsibility for any technical problems that may arise from the connection with the server, your computer, modem, or printer. Applicants are fully responsible for obtaining the forms in a timely manner if they cannot work online.
