2018 City of Los Angeles (COLA) Individual Artist Fellowship Exhibition:

Visual artist Tang Qingnian, the 2019 Cheng Family Foundation Artist in Residence at the Huntington Library, will provide an introduction to the Chinese brush arts. Tang will also explain how he uses traditional calligraphy and painting to contemporary contexts and will discuss the work he is undertaking during his residency.
To celebrate the opening of COLA 2019, experience a special performance of Katie Grinnan’s 5 Seconds of Dreaming, played by musicians Kozue Matsumoto and Eugene Moon. After previous iterations at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery and Commonwealth and Council, Grinnan’s project culminates with this final version in COLA 2019. Each year the City of West Hollywood celebrates pride with its One City One Pride LGBTQ Arts Festival, which runs from between Harvey Milk Day (May 22) through the end of June Pride month (June 30). The theme for 2019 is “Love is Love,” celebrating the universal bond that unites us especially during this 50th anniversary year of the Stonewall riots.
