The annual Pasadena Chalk Festival is one the largest public art events of its kind. The art of street painting is centuries old. In fact, it dates to the 16th century when soldiers returning from battle gave homage to the Madonna in front of local churches. There will be food booths, raffle prizes, and a police helicopter ride auction.
