This exhibit captures the deep connection that exists between Marco Antonio Solís and his fans, including a collection of personal gifts given to him by fans over the last four decades. With a career spanning more than 40 years, Marco Antonio Solís is one of Mexico’s most successful artists of all time. Adults – $18, Seniors and Youth – $15, Members and Children under 5 – Free
The exhibition includes works that address land rights, settler colonialism, forced displacement, and migration. The exhibition also demonstrates humanity’s adaptability, resistance, and perseverance through banners, posters, and ephemera created by community organizations and activists fighting for housing rights, which is a human right.
Comprising approximately 400 works, this exhibition presents the diversity and materiality of ancient Colombian cultures and reframes how we approach ancient Colombian art. With the European conquest, Indigenous cultures and knowledge were disregarded as crude superstition.
