ART OF YOGA FOR BEGINNERS
Art of Yoga for Beginners is an introductory yoga class where postures are taught in a safe and supportive manner, incorporating the basic principles of alignment, breathing and the use of props. Through the practice of yoga, flexibility, strength, balance and focus are developed, which contribute to your overall health, well-being, and positive state of mind.
This class is suitable for pre-teens & teens over the age of 10 and adults. No yoga experience is necessary.
Art of Yoga for Beginners is taught by Ms. Vanessa Soto with Yoga@. This class will have a 15 student maximum capacity. All classes have an adult support staff assistant in addition to the lead Teaching Artist to help ensure the best experience possible for everyone.
Classes will meet once a week via Zoom on . Weekly classes will take place virtually via Zoom on Wednesdays from 4 pm – 5pm for 5 weeks starting July 14 through August 11, 2021. The Zoom link will be provided via email upon registration.
To participate, you will need:
a Zoom account
laptop, computer, i-pad, or other device with internet access
yoga mat or towel
water to drink
pillows/blankets/towels and yoga blocks should be used if available
