The Artists At Work culminating exhibition recognizes the community engagement work of Taylor Griffith and Nancy Lynée Woo, fellows of the Artists At Work (AAW) program in LA County. During their 2022 residency, Griffith and Woo partnered with AGCC, in conjunction with AltaSea at the Port of Los Angeles and SBCC (Strength Based Community Change) respectively, to provide free public programming in the Southbay Harbor region.
Taylor Griffith’s practice combines his ocean-dive research with methods of photography and sculptural installation, to examine the state of oceanic ecosystems. Nancy Lynée Woo is a poet based in the greater Los Angeles area. As an AAW Artist Fellow, Woo developed writing and poetry centered programs that raised awareness for food sustainability and helped participants develop their creative voice. The exhibition will highlight participants’ poems from Woo’s various engagement opportunities.
The exhibition runs through December 10th, 2022. For more information visit http://ow.ly/i5ls50L9B6y
