Covid-19 drove us into the nooks and crannies, but Benita Bike’s DanceArt dives back into live performance with a limited-attendance outdoor dance program on Saturday, February 27, 2pm, at Tierra del Sol Foundation Parking Lot, 9919 Sunland Blvd. in Sunland. Get your free ticket by emailing benita@danceart.org with your name and the number in your family-associated party. You will receive an email ticket. No walk-ins are allowed. Should Covid force us to cancel, we will notify you. This performance is FREE and supported by the California Arts Council and the City of Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department.

This season Benita Bike’s DanceArt celebrates its 40th season, and we invite people to participate in an engaging and entertaining art event on February 27th. After introducing modern dance, our dancers will perform two lively dance works in a lovely tree-lined area. Viewers will be encouraged to ask questions and share thoughts. Benita Bike’s DanceArt, an LA-based modern dance company knows how to introduce the soul of dance to audiences. This performance features:
– Benches (premiere) takes you into a park for a day to people watch and imagine the lives of the those who are alone, in pairs, and in groups;
– Schoenfield Dances features a rag, fughetta, shuffle, and boogie and melds 20th century popular dance styles with a classical movement sensibility.

An interactive, self-guided virtual tour of the exhibition will be released on Friday, January 22nd at angelsgateart.org with gallery appointments pending the guidance of local and state…
