Explore how storytelling through graphic novels and comics with Donna Letterese! While reading “American Born Chinese” by Gene Luen Yang, students will learn the principles of storytelling, character design, and graphic novel/comic book layout.
Gene Luen Yang’s “American Born Chinese” blends elements of fantasy and reality to create a personal but universal story of identity and self-acceptance.
Students enrolled in this workshop will receive a free art kit, including a copy of “American Born Chinese”.
