City Hall Pride Mural ‘Our Pride’
:ExhibitionFamily FriendlyFreeLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Heritage MonthOutdoorPublic Art

Our Pride is a mural by artist LaToya Peoples that will be installed on the side of City Hall. The mural features four hands, symbolic of LGBTQ Pride. A fist, symbolizing our fight against oppression throughout history as LGBTQ and also as BIPOC queer people. A painter’s hand symbolizing our creativity and openness as a community. A hand holding a sunflower, a symbol for self-love and seeking light. A hand in a classic peace sign. The background is a bright sky, symbolic of the progress we have made and have yet to make. Each hand will be painted realistically, in color, representing diverse people.
