Roy Gaines is known as the last of the Texas T-Bone Guitar Slingers. He has worked on a wide array of projects including film soundtracks, taken a late ‘60s side trip into calypso, session work for Motown, and waxed a Bob Dylan cover for a big New York label. He holds T-Bone Walker’s immaculate fretwork especially close to his heart. Over his long and distinguished career, he has released a number of recordings, including his latest release in 2018, Live at The Saturday Night Fish Fry.
The nine-piece Tuxedo Blues Orchestra sports five horns in addition to a core rhythm section. Roy Gaines and the Tuxedo Blues Orchestra are known for creating a sound that combines electric blues and big-band jazz.
