Comedian and storyteller Mike Birbiglia returns to Center Theatre Group with a tale of life, death, and a highly chlorinated YMCA pool. With his unique form of comedic storytelling, Birbiglia chronicles a coming-of-middle-age story that asks the big questions: Why are we here? What’s next? And what happens when the items at the doctor’s office that you thought were decorative become quite useful?

Reinventing the Américas: Construct. Erase. Repeat

This exhibition analyzes representations of the Americas, questioning the mythologies and utopian visions that proliferated after the arrival of Europeans to the continents. Featuring artistic interventions by Denilson Baniwa, an Indigenous contemporary artist from the Amazon region of Brazil, and the voices of local community groups, Reinventing the Américas counters the views of European chroniclers, illustrators, and printmakers from the sixteenth to nineteenth centuries.   All visitors should reserve an advance timed-entry ticket online

Luis Flores: Because of You, In Spite of You

Luis Flores’s largely autobiographical work functions as an account of emotions and experiences accumulated as a young man within a toxic masculine culture. Transformational events, such as getting married and becoming a father, motivated him to view the world differently. In this exhibition, Flores uses crocheted and bronzed sculptures to create a Monster Rally setup as a metaphor for parental love.   Cost: Adults  – $9, Students, Teachers, and Seniors  – $7, Members –  Free, Sundays – Pay what you…
