SUMMER 2021 SESSION: JULY 12 – AUGUST 14 (5 WEEKS)

MUSICAL THEATRE I I

Calling all the triple threats! For the experienced voice, acting, and/or dance students ages 12 – 24 who are looking to further their knowledge and challenge themselves in Musical Theatre, this class is for you! Between vocal technique, acting training, camera and production training, dance and choreography training, and performance technique exercises, we will have you performing and bringing your skills to the next level. This fast-paced class will have you performing as a group and independently by the end of the summer session.

This class will also expose you to professional guest artists from the field of musical theater who will help you see that achieving your professional goals is possible! This experience will allow students to be a part of Q/A, Master Classes, and performance opportunities that will help further your knowledge and understanding of Musical Theatre. This fun and highly energetic class will also have you working together to achieve a final virtual performance that will be showcased at the end of the session. For students who want to further their knowledge and challenge themselves in a fun and safe environment, come join Musical Theatre Workshop II where we believe “teamwork makes the dreamwork”! Let’s work together to help you achieve your Broadway dreams.

Musical Theatre II is taught by LHYAC Teaching Artist, Matthew Noah (Mr. Matthew). This class will have a 15 student maximum capacity. All classes have an adult support staff assistant in addition to the lead Teaching Artist to help ensure the best experience possible for everyone.

This class is open to returning LHYAC Musical Theater II students. New students with a minimum of two years experience in musical theater, singing, dancing, and/or acting are welcomed to continue with the registration process and we will contact you to schedule an audition.

Weekly classes will take place virtually via Zoom on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 pm – 7:20 pm for 5 weeks starting July 13 through August 12, 2021. The Zoom link will be provided via email upon registration.
