Scots Festival honors nearly fifty Scottish clans & vendors throughout the weekend with professional and amateur competitions in piping, drumming, massed bands, darts, Highland dancing, and Highland athletics. The Scottish Highland Games, a precursor to today’s Olympic Games, were designed to test the strength, skill, and technique of ancient warriors by faceoff.

The LA INDIE Film Festival, the partner event to the LA COMEDY Festival, features humorous, entertaining, and endearing works of cinema. The festival has a focus on comedy, but selections include a variety of genres for a diverse experience of independent film.
A border watch volunteer confronts a Mexican man who claims to be looking for his missing daughter. Set in a hostile wasteland between nations, Nowhere on the Border reveals the personal dramas that drive people to cross borders both physical and emotional.
The play takes place in South Philadelphia in March 1959. Billie Holiday is performing in a run-down bar, during one of her last performances before her death in July 1959. She sings, accompanied by Jimmy Powers on the piano, and also tells stories about her life. Purchase tickets online
