In this course, Connie Rohman will share the useful and beautiful technique of Boro stitching which originated in Medieval Japan. Boro stitching uses a simple running stitch called the Shashiko stitch to bring new utility to fabric scraps and as the basis for beautiful textile art. With this simple and lovely technique, we will mindfully mend, darn, and repurpose clothing and work on original textile projects. Open to ages 16+, materials delivered to participants.
