Textile Arts: Mindful Mending
An Artist’s Approach
In this course, Connie Rohman will share the useful and beautiful technique of Boro stitching which originated in Medieval Japan. Boro stitching uses a simple running stitch to bring new utility to fabric scraps as the basis for beautiful textile art. With Sashiko and other sewing and darning techniques, we will mindfully mend, darn, and repurpose clothing, and work on original textile projects.
