On March 11, 1944, a swastika was painted across 8230 Santa Monica Blvd, the home of Tiny Tim’s Showcase Theater “devoted to amateur presentations.” At the same address, over 30 years later, a heterosexual Jewish couple opened Circus of Books – which would become a cultural touchstone for WeHo’s LGBTQ community as well as a target for anti-pornography crackdowns and homophobia. Tiny Tim’s Showcase is a window display and performance series that reimagines the history of this corner, from the 20s to the present.

The Hilton Als Series: Njideka Akunyili Crosby
This exhibition features collage-based paintings from “The Beautyful Ones”, the artist’s ongoing series of intimate portraits of Nigerian children, including members of her own family.
