Join us Oct 21 & 22 for Dracula! Photo station and meet the cast. Costumes welcome (no full face masks for safety). Children that can sit through a show are welcome as long as they know Dracula and the undead will be there!
West Coast Ballet was co-founded by professional classical ballet dancer, Robbie Downey. After the pandemic hit, Robbie returned to California to quarantine with her family. Like live music, ballet performances were canceled and so was class! For dancers that have trained most of their lives, that is like jumping off a high-speed train. Artists of all types were struck hard financially, physically, and emotionally, and are still trying to recover. Robbie is a California girl at heart. During this time off, and although she loved dancing professionally in Arizona and Colorado, Robbie decided to make a bold move and start a small company locally here in the South Bay. It did not take long to realize that many dancers were in the same boat and trying to stay afloat with freelance work. She hopes to provide performance opportunities to others and to also grow the company over time and help bring an outdated ballet culture into 2022. This is a grassroots project and this is West Coast Ballet’s first production. Please show your support for local artists and purchase your tickets today. We promise you a great show and a good time. Children are welcome but make sure they know Dracula will be there. There are a few students in the show.
