SUMMER 2021 SESSION: JULY 12 – AUGUST 14 (5 WEEKS)

YOUTH PHOTOGRAPHY

In Youth Photography for students ages 13-24, we will learn how to express ourselves through photography by learning how to “read images,” “making pictures,” rather than “taking pictures,” digital editing, and collaborative reflection. No fancy equipment required, as beautiful images can be made with anything from an expensive camera to a camera phone. No experience necessary!

Youth Photography will be taught by LHYAC Teaching Artist, Bobby Gordon (Mr. Bobby). This class will have a 20 student maximum capacity. All classes have an adult support staff assistant in addition to the lead Teaching Artist to help ensure the best experience possible for everyone.

Weekly classes will take place virtually via Zoom on Mondays from 2 pm – 2:50 pm for 5 weeks starting July 12 through August 9, 2021. The Zoom link will be provided via email upon registration.

To participate, you will need:

a Zoom account
a digital camera of any kind (DSLR, point and shoot, camera phone, etc.)
laptop, computer, i-pad, or other devices with internet access
We can’t wait to teach you the skills to be your best photographer this summer!
