El Rescate empowers immigrants, in particular Latinos, to improve their political and economic wellbeing in order to promote their full participation as citizens.

As part of their community outreach, El Rescate produces the festival Feria Agostina. Every year, Feria Agostina is held in MacArthur Park and attracts more than 40,000 people over the three days of festivities.
