Materials & Applications (M&A) is an independent space for contemporary, experimental and alternative architecture. Our mission is to advance innovative and critical ideas in architecture through our public programming, which include temporary architecture, curated events, and special projects. M&A plays a key role in the framing of architectural culture in Los Angeles by providing a platform for inquiry, engagement and exchange, and by connecting our audiences with experimental ideas in architecture and design in Los Angeles.
Committed to engaging those who are at critical stages of their design trajectory, our collaborators are experimental practitioners who have gone on to win commissioned projects, gallery invitations, and museum exhibitions.
