KASA is a nonprofit organization created in 2002 by Kodo and representatives of the North American taiko community to promote intercultural exchange and communication. KASA strives to provide opportunities to play and learn taiko techniques, but also to examine its origins and discuss its significance within a community context. KASA helps provide the history and knowledge to understand and perpetuate the taiko tradition and all of its related art forms.
